TCL 85-Inch Class QLED 4K Smart NXTFRAME TV with Google TV (85A300W, 2024 Model) Q75H Q Class 5.1.2 Channel Soundbar with Dolby Atmos

I recently purchased the TCL 65-Inch Class QLED 4K Smart NXTFRAME TV (2024 Model), and I am absolutely thrilled with my choice. This TV combines fantastic image quality, smart features, and sleek design—all at a price that’s hard to beat.

Picture Quality: The QLED display provides vibrant colors and excellent brightness, making everything from movies to sports look stunningly realistic. The 4K resolution is incredibly sharp, and it handles HDR content beautifully. Blacks are deep, and there's minimal light bleed, so it performs well even in dim lighting.

Google TV Experience: I’ve used other smart TVs, but the Google TV integration on this TCL is top-notch. The interface is easy to navigate, and it has all the streaming apps I could want pre-installed. Voice control with Google Assistant is responsive and convenient—I can adjust settings, search for content, and control smart home devices right from the TV.

Sound Quality: For a flat-screen TV, the sound is impressive. The speakers have enough clarity and bass that I don't feel the need to add a soundbar, though it’s compatible with Dolby Atmos if you want to upgrade.

Design: The NXTFRAME design is modern and minimalistic, with thin bezels that make it feel almost frameless. It fits perfectly on my media console and has a premium look that adds a touch of elegance to my living room.

I recently purchased the TCL 65" Class QLED 4K Smart NXT Frame TV, and it’s an exceptional choice for the price range. The picture quality is impressive, with vibrant colors, sharp contrast details, and excellent brightness. Watching sports, movies or shows on this TV feels like a real true-to-life experience, thanks to the rich QLED technology. And when we don't want to watch any of that stuff, it has fantastic art gallery images and collection of artworks already installed which adds a really nice touch. Even comes with a light wooden bezel option that's pretty easy to add to the existing bezel.

It also runs on Google TV, which is incredibly smooth and intuitive. It offers seamless access to streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, and YouTube, making it a breeze to find and enjoy content. The voice control feature adds even more convenience to navigation.

Compared to brands like Samsung, the TCL offers better performance at a significantly lower cost. You’re getting premium features without the premium price tag. Highly recommended!

Beautiful tv but stopped working 2 days later. Started freezing and becoming unresponsive and now it doesn’t move beyond the logo phase. Have been through hoops with their warranty dept and now have to go through the trouble of taking this one off my wall, returning it and waiting for a replacement. I should’ve just spent the extra money and went with a Samsung. While it was working, the sound quality was horrendous and the lighting was mid. Spend the extra money and save yourself the hassle.

This looks amazing mounted! It also comes with the frame that is able to come off. The great part of the aesthetic is that it is white metal which makes it look like an art canvas. We originally bought the Samsung frame tv but returned it because the picture was bad. This tv has great picture that is viewable at all angles and we can still watch it with the sun shining in. The Samsung requires a darker room and still struggles to show vibrancy. This tv is great!

The TV itself is nice. It fits flush against the wall and looks less obviously TV-like than other options, which is what I wanted for the space. Installing the mounting system, however is not easy.

For one, the template provided for the location of the mounting brackets requires modification for the 55" TV, and this is noted only deep in the instructions, in very fine print. Also, the dotted lines on the template that are supposed to guide this modification step are not printed in the correct location, so getting the template set up properly took a lot of measurement, trial, and error.

Furthermore, the mounts are small enough and spaced in a way where it is possible that you might encounter no wall studs in a standard US construction wall (drywall with wood studs 16" on center). This is what happened to me. If they had made the two mounting plates at least 16 inches wide, I would have been able to have at least two bolts into the stud on each plate.

Instead I had to use wall anchors. I tried to use the wall anchors provided in the kit. Do not use them, they are trash. They claim to be for drywall, but they are for masonry walls. The design of the anchors provides no secure anchorage in standard 1/2 inch drywall. When I used them, they ended up spinning freely in the drywall when tightened down all the way. Instead I used some locally purchased 75 pound drywall anchors, screws, and washers.

Further complicating the installation process, the provided power cord is not the flush 90 degree type, so plan to have a recessed outlet installed behind the TV if you want the truly seamless look.

The TV itself functions well. The included art is decent, but I look forward to putting my own art collection together eventually instead. The only flaw in the TV function is that the sound quality is rather weak. I think this is a result of the extremely thin form factor of the TV, which necessitates compromises in speaker box design. For my needs it is adequate; I just wanted a TV that I could watch while working in the kitchen but that would otherwise blend in with the decor, but if this were my primary TV I would definitely be looking to use some sort of external speaker system. The TV does pair nicely with my Echo Studio and that did sound much nicer.

Overall, I'm happy with the product, even if the installation process could be significantly improved. However, I would not want this as my primary television due to the poor sound quality.
